Nuyanne Gosselin:
Since the midwife attended homebirth of my first born daughter, I have discovered a passion for pregnancy and birth that has carried over into every aspect of my life. I have an innate trust and respect for the natural process of birth. I have had the privilege of attending many beautiful and gentle homebirths. However, it was the hospital birth of my second born daughter which taught me true empathy for the trial that labour can be for many women. Even though I was armed with knowledge, a supportive husband and a team of midwives, there were moments in my labour where the unfamiliar surroundings of a hospital room left me feeling paralyzed and unable to exert my will or make my wishes clear. It is moments such as these where having an advocate and support person devoted purely to serving you and your birthing needs becomes invaluable. Having studied the physiology of birth and breastfeeding with ardour I have an extensive wealth of knowledge and resources that I am always willing to share, but empathy and trust are my greatest assets.

"The wisdom and compassion a woman can intuitively experience in childbirth can make her a source of healing and understanding for other women."
